Rivers of Living Water
" In the last day, that great day of the feast,
Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst,
let him come unto Me and drink.  He that
believeth on Me, as the Scripture hath said, out
of his belly shall flow rivers of living water."
John 7:37-38
2 Then the LORD answered me and said:
 “ Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it."
Habakkuk 2:2
I.  Rivers of Living Water Ministries stands by
a core belief that God desires for all to come
to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
A.  The Great Commission
     "And He said unto them,
Go ye into all the
world and preach the Gospel to every
creature . . " ~
Mark 16:15
B.  God Love the Whole World
"For God so loved the world that He gave His
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth
in Him should not perish but have everlasting
     life." ~John 3:16
C.  God is not willing that any should perish
"The Lord is not slack concerning His
promises, as some men count slackness, but
is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that
any should perish, but that all should come
     to repentance." ~II Peter 3:9
II.  RLWM also believes that every member of
the Body of Christ is of great value, and each
member has a destiny and purpose to fulfill.
A.  God sets the members in the Church as it
     pleases Him.
"But now hath God set the members, every
one of them in the body, as it hath pleased
     Him."  ~I Corinthians 12:18
B.  For the Body of Christ to function effectively,
 all must do their part
"From whom the whole body fitly joined
together and compacted by that which every
joint supplieth, according to the effectual
working in the measure of every part, maketh
increase of the body unto the edifying of itself
    in love."  ~Ephesians 4:16
   (also I Corinthians 12:1-27)
III.  From the Cross to the River
A.  The commitment to bringing people to the
saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and
 helping them discover their God-given
purpose inside the Body of Christ.
"In the last day, that great day of the feast,
Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man
thirst, let him come unto Me and drink.
    that believeth on Me,
as the Scripture hath
said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living
    water." ~John 7:37-38
***For the "river to flow" in someone's life, they
          first must believe on Jesus!!!
B.  Whom God calls, He equips.
"But unto every one of us is given grace,
according to the measure of the gift of
    Christ." ~Ephesians 4:7
I.  The Great Commission
A.  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations
 Matthew 28:18-20
*** The Great Commission involves getting out
into society and sharing the good news of the
Go ye into all the world
Mark 16:15-16
II.  There must be a Messenger
A.  " . . . .And how shall they believe in Him of
whom they have not heard?  And how
shall they hear without a preacher?  And
how shall they preach except they be
sent? . . . . . .So then faith cometh by
hearing, and hearing by the Word of
God."  ~ Romans 10:8-10,13-17
   1)  In the Great Commission, we have all
been sent forth!
   2)  Faith for salvation can only come by  the
message of Christ being proclaimed - hence,
there must be a messenger!!
B.  "For after that in the wisdom of God, the
world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God
by the foolishness of preaching to save them that
believe."           ~I Corinthians 1:21
III.  A Necessary Transformation
A.  " . . . . Follow Me, and I will make you fishers
of men."        ~Matthew 4:18-19
***Note - Peter and Andrew were not yet 'fishers
of men'.  This transformation, in which they would
become powerful evangelist to the world, would
only transpire as they committed themselves to
following Christ!!  It is the same with us . . It is
only as we commit to our lives to following Christ
and His example that we are conformed into His
image and therefore we are able to become the
fishers of men that we are called to be!
B.  The Love of God is Deposited on the inside
of us at the New Birth, and therefore gives us the
ability to love lost humanity as Christ does.  " . . .
because the love of God is shed abroad in our
hearts by the Holy Ghost . . "  ~Romans 5:5.
Catch Them
             Grow Them
I.  Assisting Other in the Pursuit of Spiritual
    Maturity - Christlikeness
A.  " . . . Till we all come in the unity of the faith,
and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a
perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of
the fulness of Christ."            ~Ephesians 4:11-13
B.  Spiritual Growth and Development is a
process.  It takes time to develop and
mature spiritually.  God will do His part as we
open our lives to Him and allow Him to
work. ~ Philippians 1:6
II.  To Grow Others, we must First be Willing
to Grow Ourselves.
A.  We cannot take other to a place we have
never gone;  we must possess a passionate
desire within our hearts to pursue
Christlikeness for ourselves.
~ I Peter 2:2-3
*** "Desire ~ Greek "Epipathea" - To intensely
crave, to earnestly desire and long after.
****** What people desire the most, they will seek
after.  They will find a way to make it happen.
B.  To Grow and Mature Spiritually, one must
have a Desire to Feed and Meditate on God's
Word, and Act on that Desire.
    1)  Romans 12:1-2
    2)  Ephesians 4:23
    3)  Colossians 3:16
    4)  Mark 4:21-25
III.  Living to Impart
A.  Any vision, plan, or purpose that truly
emanates from the heart of God will cause one
to see out beyond themselves and recognize the
needs of others.  A vision/plan from God will
compel one to get involved, to make a difference
in the lives of others.
*** Question for Reflection:  Am I currently
investing in the lives of those within my sphere of
influence?     Why Ask This?  Because
Christlikeness is investing into the lives of others
. . . Living to give, bless, enrich, train, impart, etc.
Matthew 20:24-28
IV.  The Great Commission - For All who
Accept Christ
A.  The Baton was passed from Jesus to His
Church      ~Matthew 28:18-20
**We cannot teach what we do not know.  We
must become intimate with God's Word.
B.  The Apostle Paul - A Model/Example for all of
us in that he lived to impart.  ~Romans 1:8-12

C.  Whom God Calls, He Equips!  He will supply
the anointing you need to get the job done.
 ~ Ephesians 4:7
D.  Rejoice in the Success of Others
~ Luke 10:17,21
